On May 27, the China-Europe Semiconductor Industry Supply Chain Forum was convened in Beijing. Representatives from relevant departments of the Ministry of Commerce, the China Semiconductor Industry Association, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, and over 40 upstream and downstream semiconductor enterprises from China and Europe attended the meeting. Discussions focused on deepening economic and trade cooperation in the semiconductor sector between China and Europe.


The meeting emphasized that both China and Europe hold pivotal positions in the global semiconductor supply chain, and strengthening collaboration aligns with their mutual interests. Amid the complex and severe international landscape and increasing uncertainties, China will continue to advance high-level opening-up, providing businesses with a fair, stable, transparent, and predictable policy environment. China supports enterprises from both sides in leveraging their complementary strengths to deepen economic and trade cooperation in compliance with laws and regulations, firmly opposes unilateralism and bullying practices, and strives to safeguard the security and stability of the global semiconductor supply chain.


Attendees unanimously agreed that the security and stability of the global semiconductor production and supply chains are currently facing severe challenges. The forum served as an effective platform for enhancing mutual understanding, boosting trade confidence, and deepening cooperation among semiconductor enterprises along the industrial chain. Strengthening exchanges and collaboration between China and Europe in the semiconductor field will contribute fresh momentum to global economic recovery and growth.


Representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and other relevant departments attended the meeting and responded to the issues and suggestions raised by the enterprises.
